Former Vice President of the Ghana Football Association, Fred Pappoe, has made a statement, hinting at a possible behind-the-scenes development for the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
In his recent remarks, Pappoe expressed that he "won't be surprised" if the budget for the highly anticipated qualifiers has already been meticulously prepared.
Ghana has been paired with Mali, Madagascar, Central African Republic, Comoros, and Chad in Group I of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
"You will prepare a budget for the whole campaign but with the budget, I wouldn't be surprised if they have already prepared it. You will look at the matches where you will go and play, hotels, transport costs, per diem, bonuses how you will do it whether it is going to be per match or qualification bonus at the end of a successful campaign," he told Peace FM as monitored by Footballghana.com
"So the budget when you finish preparing it you take it to FA executive council then they will also look at it if there is something they don't understand they will ask. If there is something to add they will add it when they are done they will take it to the Ministry for comments and reviews before it will go to the Ministry of Finance,"
"After that when you are starting the program with this it will be a 10 match qualifier it will keep long they will start in November i don't know what time they will use it is going to be a long process but usually these are the basic things,"
