Ghana international, Mohammed Kudus has extended best wishes to Egypt star Mohammed Salah after his injury.
The two players had the spotlight on them on Thursday night during their Group B showdown at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
Late in the first half, Mohammed Salah picked an injury and had to be substituted.
In his absence, the Pharaohs of Egypt battled to come from behind twice to hold Ghana to a 2-2 draw.
Speaking in a post-match interview, Ghana star Mohammed Kudus said he wishes Salah a speedy recovery.
“We know he is a very top player but my focus was on my team. With or without him, we still approached the game the same way so sorry for his injury, I wish him speedy recovery but we played - with or without him with the same mentality,” Mohammed Kudus said.
After the draw with Egypt, Ghana’s Black Stars will play Mozambique in their last Group B game.
Meanwhile, Egypt will face unstoppable Cape Verde.
