In a recent turn of events at the Ghana FA Congress, the unexpected walkout by New Edubiase FC President Abdul Salam has sparked mixed reactions among attendees.
However, one prominent voice from the Ghana FA Executive Council, Samuel Anim Yeboah, has chosen to view this incident not as an unsettling occurrence, but rather as a reflection of personal opinion.
Kurt Okraku, president of the GFA, was speaking when Abdul Salam Yakubu abruptly left the Great Hall of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology.
Abdul Salam Yakubu feels Kurt Okraku used the meeting as a platform for his campaign ahead of the GFA Elections, which are scheduled for October of this year.
"I don’t see it as an incident I see it as a personal opinion. That’s his personal opinion, it is normal. You can’t have everybody agreeing to what you do but unfortunately for Yakubu, he knows that this is the platform for the President," Anim Addo told Citi Sports.
"It’s in our status to give a status and if he decides to give the speech and tell the whole world what he has done and what he wants to do, nobody can fault him for that and that is his duty,”
