Former Asante Kotoko captain, Amos Frimpong, has revealed that he is ready to sign for a new club when the transfer window opens.
The now 32-year-old has played for Guinea side Club Industriel de Kamsar on a two-year contract after joining in 2021, with his deal expiring in June 2022.
“Everything went well in Guinea. I had a two-year contract with CIK (Club Industriel de Kamsar), but my contract ended in June, and I came home,” he told Asempa FM.
“When the transfer window opens and I get a club, I will join. If God wills and I get a club, I am fit enough to play.”
Amos Frimpong has played for Asante Kotoko for eight years, leaving in 2019 after winning two league titles with the Porcupine Warriors.
Asante Kotoko secured a 3-1 comeback win over Legon Cities in Sogakope over the weekend to make it back-to-back wins and will host Berekum Chelsea at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday.
