Black Stars management committee member Alhaji Grusah is impressed with the performance of Chris Hughton after three games in charge of the national.
The former Premier League manager has managed two draws and one wins in his first three games as coach of the Black Stars.
Hughton led the Black Stars to beat Angola narrowly in Kumasi before traveling to share the spoils away to the Palancas Negras in March.
On Sunday, the Black Stars were held at the Stade Barea Mahamasina in Antananarivo by Madagascar in the penultimate AFCON qualifier on Sunday.
This means Ghana will have to wait until the final game of Group E to seal their qualification to the AFCON next year.
In an interview with Akoma FM, Alhaji Grusah asserted Hughton has done well so far as coach of the national team.
“If you're to assess a coach who wins one and drew two of the matches he has played, then definitely you will say he (Chris Hughton) is doing well”
“It's unfortunate we couldn't win against Madagascar, maybe the coach underrated them, but that is football and every results are possible” he said.
Despite the draw, Ghana remain top of the group with 9 points from five games with one more match to go in September against the Central African Republic in Kumasi.
