An impressive second-half performance from King Faisal on Wednesday afternoon helped the side to complete a 3-2 comeback win against Karela United in the Ghana Premier League.
The team based in Kumasi hosted the Week 24 opponent of the Ghanaian top-flight league at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex.
Late in the 42nd minute of the first half, Emmanuel Owusu Boakye scored to give Karela United.
However, King Faisal had an instant reply and equalised through Samuel Kusi to force the first half to end in a 1-1 draw.
After recess, the home team improved a lot and scored to take the lead in the 59th minute when Abdul Latif found the back of the Karela United net.
In the 71st minute, a Benjamin Bature strike dragged the game beyond the reach of Karela United. Although the visiting team would net a second goal via Nketiah Ishmael, King Faisal held on to secure a 3-2 win to amass all three points.
