Ghanaian winger David Atanga has reacted to his brace for Oostende in their 2-1 over KV Mechelen in the Belgian top-flight.

The former Admira forward displayed a stellar performance in the game played at the Diaz Arena.

The 25-year-old broke the deadlock in the 17th minute with his first goal of the season.

David Atanga scored again in the 43rd minute to seal the win for the home side at the Diaz Arena.

After recess Mechelen wanted to stage a comeback and reduced the deficit in the 75th minute through Thibault Peyre.

Speaking after the game, Atanga expressed his joy about the side victory and his brace for the club.

“It’s a good feeling because last week, we didn’t play good and we lost the three points and today, we played a good game and we had the three points”

“The first goal, I realized the ball was free, they were defending so high and I just run in the space and scored. It’s a great feeling” he said.

Oostende play away to Charleroi in their next game on August 6, 2022.
