England-born attacker of Ghanaian descent, Gideon Kodua has heaped praise on his West Ham United U18 teammates.
This comes after the youth team stunned their Arsenal counterparts 5-1 on Tuesday to lift the FA Youth Cup.
Speaking in his post-match interview, Gideon Kodua who is the captain of the West Ham U18 side described his side as a ‘special group’.
"It was a good game and I think our boys are just a special group, really. The work rate on the pitch and off the pitch is unbelievable - and that’s how you get here and win the Cup,” the teenager said as quoted on the website of West Ham United.
On winning the FA Youth Cup, the talented youngster said, "It feels amazing. I would just like to thank God for everything. There is more to come from me and all of us, from the whole team, so we’re just going to keep beating people."
Gideon Kodua has been a star for his team this season and now looks set to break into the West Ham United first team next season.
