German-born Ghanaian midfielder Raphael Assibey-Mensah showcased his brilliance on the field as he delivered a stunning goal to secure FC Bocholt's commanding 4-1 win against Velbert in the German Regionalliga West clash on Saturday afternoon.

The game started with an early lead for Velbert when Robin Hilger found the back of the net in the eleventh minute, catching FC Bocholt off guard. Despite the setback, FC Bocholt persisted, relentlessly pushing for an equalizer against Velbert's resilient defense.

The breakthrough came in the 38th minute when Marc Beckert orchestrated a crucial play from midfield, setting up Malek Fakhro for a composed finish, leveling the score at 1-1.

In the second half, FC Bocholt continued to press forward, determined to seize control of the match. Their efforts were rewarded in the 64th minute when Bogdan Shubin capitalized on Jan Holldack's assist, firing the ball past Velbert's goalkeeper, to put FC Bocholt ahead 2-1.

The momentum continued to swing in FC Bocholt's favor, with captain Marc Beckert extending their lead to 3-1 just five minutes later with a skillful strike from outside the box.

However, it was Raphael Assibey-Mensah who stole the show with a moment of brilliance in the 76th minute. Assibey-Mensah unleashed a powerful shot that flew into the top right corner of the net, leaving Velbert's goalkeeper with no chance to save it, and sealing FC Bocholt's impressive 4-1 victory.
