Ghanaian midfielder Cameron Antwi has suffered what seems to be a horrific injury at Cardiff City.

The English-born Ghanaian picked up an injury while in action for Cardiff City U-21 team against Barnsley U-21 side in the Professional development league in England.

Antwi was handed a starting role but had to be replaced in the first half by Joe Colwill after sustaining a horrible looking injury in the encounter.

The midfielder, who has been in excellent form for the under-21s, went to challenge for a bouncing ball just before the half-hour mark at Cardiff City Stadium before the worrying incident took place.

The 21-year-old collapsed after suffering a head injury following a bad tackle from a Barnsley player.

The medical team of Cardiff City rushed to the pitch to treat the Ghanaian midfielder to get back to his feet.

Cardiff City inflicted a 3-1 win over Barnsley despite the unfortunate incident.

Antwi’s current contract with Cardiff City is expected to expire this summer.
