In a remarkable claim that has left both football fans and curious pundits astonished, a Ghanaian man has boldly asserted that Manchester United's electrifying winger, Marcus Rashford, is undeniably his long-lost son.
The man Michael Boye Marquaye who lives in the United Kingdom has previously made claims the English international is his son.
Marquaye, who describes himself as a former football player, says in a video that has been widely circulated on social media that he has chosen to come out with his allegations out of reverence for Rashford and his mother, Melanie Maynard.
He underlines that his goal is to make sure Rashford is aware of his real origins and he is not pursuing any financial benefit.
Marcus Rashford was born in Manchester on October 31, 1997, and grew up in the Fallowfield, Withington, and Wythenshawe neighborhoods.
The 25-year-old is widely known to be of Jamaican descent and Kittitian descent, with his grandmother being born on the West Indies island of Saint Kitts.
Rashford has two brothers, Dwaine Maynard and Dane Rashford, and two sisters, Chantelle and Claire.
