Ghanaian attacker Richmond Tachie was on target for FC Kaiserslautern when they suffered defeat to Fortuna Dusseldorf in the German Bundesliga 2 on Saturday.

The German-born Ghanaian was handed a starting role and made a good account of himself despite his side defeat at the Merkur Spiel-Arena

Kaiserslautern threw away a three-goal advantage to lose 4-3 to Dusseldorf at the end of the round 10 fixture.

The 24-year-old opened the scoring for the visitors after 21 minutes into the game before they doubled their lead following an own goal from Jamil Siebert in the 30th minute.

German forward Marlon Ritter increased the tally for the visitors in the 32nd minute, but Japanese midfielder Ao Tanaka pulled one back before the half time break.

Dusseldorf staged an impressive comeback in the second half of the game to secure all points.

Defender Matthias Zimmermann reduced the deficit, four minutes into the second half before midfielder Felix Klaus leveled th4e pegging in the 57th minute mark.

Tanaka sealed victory for the host after finding the back of the net for the second time in the 63rd minute.

German-born Ghanaian duo Ragnar Ache and Aaron Opoku featured in the game for Kaiserslautern with former starting and the latter coming on as a substitute.

Tachie has scored two goals and delivered two assists after eight appearances for Kaiserslautern in the German second-tier this campaign.
