Ghanaian striker Mohammed Naeem registered his name on the scoresheet Halmstad BK in their against Brommapojkarna in the Swedish top-flight.

The 26-year-old started and lasted the entire duration as his outfit succumbed to a 3-1 away defeat to their opponent in the week 20 encounter on Saturday.

The home team opened the scoring through Oscar Pettersson after just seven minutes into the clash at the Grimsta IP.

Sweden international Alexander Johansson doubled his side lead three minutes later after founding the back of the net in the 10th minute mark to make it 2-0.

The host continued their dominance in the encounter and added the third goal through Ludvig Fritzson in the 24th minute.

But the Ghanaian attcakert pulled one back in the 36th minute as the first half ended 3-1 in favour of the host.

With no additional goal, Brommapojkarna cruised to victory to merit the three maximum points at stake.

Ghanaian defenders Phil Ofosu-Ayeh and Joseph Baffo played the full minutes of the match for Halmstad while Thomas Boakye was an unused substitute for the same team.

Naeem has now scored three goals in 16 appearances in the Swedish top-flight this season.
