Renowned Ghanaian football scout Ebenezer Sefah has cited lack of proper planning and inconsistency for the Black Stars struggles in recent times.

The four-time African champions endured a very tough October international break, losing all two games and conceding 6 goals in the process.

The four-time African champions succumbed to a 2-0 defeat to Mexico at the Bank of America Stadium last Saturday before their heavy defeat against The Yanks of USA at the Geodis Stadium on Wednesday.

Despite acknowledging quality in the Black Stars, the Ghanaian chief scout has attributed the teams’ unimpressive performance to lack of proper plan and inconsistency.

“Is not we don’t have the players, we have them, we have the talent and have the quality but there is no plan and consistency. Since we returned from Cameroon, have you see any plan to get our players ongoing? When a plays a game and he scores two goals in a club probably in Division Two or a lower-tier in Europe such a player straight away is a Black Stars material”

“You were here when Jojo Wollacot became our number one when he was playing in a lower-tier league”

“For me, we have reduced the Black Stars to a level that you cannot even think of it. Three months to the AFCON, playing the Americans and Mexicans and playing the African countries are different ball game all together but at the end of the day, when you have this type of attitude from players, play without desire then there is a lot of question mark. Player feels he is always there and anytime he gets a call up he will play, there is no competition in the Black Stars” he said.
