England defender of Ghanaian descent, Jarell Quansah lasted 90 minutes for Liverpool on Thursday in the game against Royal Union SG in the Europa League.

With qualification already in the bag, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp could afford to make some changes to his starting eleven.

Among the fringe players handed a chance to start the game for the English giants was Jarell Quansah.

The youngster played at right-back and put on a fine display as he netted a consolation for his side in a narrow defeat away from home.

In the final Group E match of this season’s Europa League, Jarell Quansah scored in the 40th minute to restore parity to the contest.

Before his goal, an equaliser from Mohamed Amoura in the 32nd minute had already shot Royal Union SG into the lead.

Thanks to a second goal by Cameron Puertas, the Belgian side cruised to a 2-1 win over Liverpool at the end of the contest.
