Ghanaian international Benjamin Acquah was on target for Helsingborg in their heavy defeat against GAIS Göteborg in the Swedish second-tier.

The enterprising midfielder started and lasted the entire duration when his outfit succumbed to a 4-1 defeat to their opponent in an away fixture.

Swedish international Julius Lindberg opened the floodgate for the host after just 12 minutes into the game before Chovanie Amatkarijo doubled the lead for GAIS as they went to recess with the advantage.

The former Ebusua Dwarfs midfielder pulled one back for the visitors two minutes after the break.

But two late goals from Axel Norén and Viktor Krüger sealed the win for GAIS in the week 22 fixture of the Sweden Superettan.

Benjamin Acquah has now scored 2 goals in 20 matches for his outfit.

Helsingborg IF are currently 15th on the league table with 21 points after 22 matches.
