Manchester City have released Ghana winger Thomas Agyepong following the expiration of his contract.

The 25-year-old failed to make an appearance for the English champions since joining the club in 2015.

Agyepong moved to England from the Right to Dream Academy, spending most of his time on loan as his contract elapsed in July 2022.

He played for FC Twente and Nac Breda in Holland before featuring for Hibernian in Scotland. He also enjoyed a spell at Waasland Beveren.

The tricky winger played failed to get contract extension after struggles to convince City despite his enormous talent.

He last played for SK Lommel, Manchester City's feeder club in Belgium, where he appeared in 13 second-tier games.

The 25-year-old has made six appearances for Black Stars including an Africa Cup of Nations appearance in 2019. He has since the tournament not been invited.
