Veteran Ghana international, Majeed Warris was in action for Anorthosis on Friday when the team suffered a defeat to Chloraka away from home.
The former Black Stars regular attacker started for his team today in a Round 39 encounter of the 2022/23 Cypriot Top-flight league.
Majeed Warris, 31, started well with his teammates today although the team played as the away side.
Courtesy of the good displays of the team, Anorthosis equalised in the 12th minute through Avto to take the lead.
Unfortunately, things fell apart for the away team before the first half break. Striker Majeed Warris received a red card in the 42nd minute, forcing the team to play the entire second half with 10 men.
After recess, the red card turned costly for Anorthosis as a brace from Marcelo Torres and own goal helped Chloraka to come from behind to secure a massive 3-1 win.
This season, Majeed Warris has scored just a goal for his team in Cyprus after making 27 appearances in the division.
