Karela United coach, Ibrahim Tanko Shaibu, has voiced his concern after his team failed to secure a victory against Hearts of Oak on Saturday.
In a match day 9 Ghana Premier League clash at the Aliu Mahama Stadium Saturday, the Pride and Passion lads were held to a 1-1 draw by the Phobians.
Emmanuel Owusu Boakye provided an early lead for Karela, scoring just 6 minutes into the game. However, Hamza Issah's goal for Hearts on the 40th-minute mark ensured that the match ended in a draw.
Speaking to StarTimes after the game, the former Real Tamale United coach said, "I’m really very worried because we needed the 3 points at all cost to leap from wherever we found ourselves."
With 9 points, Karela currently sit on the 14th position in the league standings. There is a possibility that they may drop further at the end of matchday 9.
Karela United’s next game is against Accra Lions in the capital.
