Togbe Afede XIV, the Executive Board Chairman of Hearts of Oak Sporting Club, has promised fans the team will recover from the poor start to the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season.
He said this at the club’s the 5th Annual General Meeting held at the Civil Servant’s Auditorium in Osu, Accra.
Togbe believes things will change for the better like they did three seasons ago that saw them win the double.
“Looking at the season we won the double with Coach Samuel Boadu, we didn’t start the season properly; it was a very poor start for the club. But we later recovered, so I’m urging all to be patient; we will recover,” Togbe Afede emphasized, addressing the concerned Hearts of Oak faithful.
In the four games played this season, Hearts of Oak have suffered two defeats, won one game and drew the other.
These performances are very much different from what the club has produced during their stellar preseason campaign seeing them score over 30 goals and won all games they played.
As the Ghana Premier League enters its fifth week, Hearts of Oak are preparing for a crucial away fixture against Heart of Lions - who are unbeaten.
