Former Ghana international Bernard Mensah has officially left Kayserispor as his contract with the club expires on June 30.
The talented attacking midfielder announced his departure from the Turkish Super Lig team just before the conclusion of the 2022/23 season, bringing an end to his four-year stint.
Mensah, who joined Kayserispor in the summer transfer window of 2018 from Spanish La Liga giants Atletico Madrid in a €2.80 million deal, had a productive spell during his time with the club.
He made a total of 91 appearances, scoring 16 goals and providing 15 assists.
The 28-year-old Ghanaian player's career took off in 2015 when he caught the attention of Atletico Madrid, who beat out competition from Manchester United to secure his signature from Portuguese club Vitoria Guimaraes for a fee of six million euros.
However, Mensah did not feature for Atletico Madrid and was subsequently loaned out to Getafe CF, Kasimpasa, and Vitoria Guimaraes.
With his contract now expired, Mensah is set to embark on a new chapter in his football career.
