Ghana President, Nana Akufo-Addo has broken his silence on Jordan Ayew’s latest achievement in the English Premier League campaign.
The Black Stars forward is the most fouled player in the English top-flight, winning 65 fouls for the Eagles. The Ghana international is a trusted member of the Crystal Palace in the ongoing campaign.
At a farewell dinner on Tuesday night, Nana Akufo-Addo lauded Ayew for his remarkable feat in the ongoing Premier League season.
“It is insightful to note that Jordan Ayew of Crystal Palace is the most fouled player in the English Premier League” he said.
Ayew, who has scored two Premier League goals and provided five assists in 19 matches is currently with the Black Stars as they prepare for the start of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast this weekend.
The West African powerhouse will be competing for the covetous trophy that has eluded the country for over three decades in neighbouring country, Ivory Coast.
The Black Stars will open their account against Cape Verde on Sunday, January 14, 2024 before taking on Egypt and Mozambique on January 18 and 22 respectively in Group B.
