The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced that its 29th Ordinary Congress will take place on July 6, 2023, at the Great Hall of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi.
The decision was made during an Executive Council meeting held at the GFA headquarters in Accra.
According to a statement released by the GFA on Thursday, the selection of the date and venue complies with article 31(2) of the GFA Statutes 2019, which mandates the Executive Council to determine the Congress meeting details.
The GFA is required to provide written notification to its members at least ten days in advance.
The GFA Statutes further state that Congress should convene in an Ordinary Session once every football season, typically before the start of that season.
The agenda for the Congress will include the Activity Report, Financial Statements, Auditors' Report, and any other pertinent documents, as outlined in the GFA statement.
The 29th ordinary session of Congress is scheduled to commence at 9:00 am.
