In a scathing critique, experienced football administrator Jonathan Abbey Pobi has called on the Ghana Football Association (GFA) to address mounting concerns over the reported revision of the three-year contract with the headline sponsor of the Ghana Premier League, betPawa.
Pobi, known for his keen insights into football administration, emphasized the need for the GFA to provide a transparent and comprehensive response to the swirling speculations.
Amidst whispers of the sports betting company contemplating a complete withdrawal from the deal, questions regarding the integrity and stability of the agreement between betPawa and the Ghana FA have intensified.
"It looks as if the people at the GFA don't know what they are doing in the sense that Ghana Football Association has signed a contract for the clubs and the contract is for the clubs. So one or two people can't go and secretly go into a room and say that they are changing it the question is that did they inform the clubs," he told Peace FM as monitored by Footballghana.com
"That is why I say that clubs today those running football that is the clubs their knowledge in football is low because you can't just get up if these people say they have allocated 1 million dollars for advertising where is the money people have asked about this we haven't heard anything. With this situation the question is GFA and the journalists who is telling the truth because now they are saying journalists are liars," he added.
