Executive Council member of the Ghana Football Association, Nana Oduro Sarfo has expressed displeasure about the Black Stars calamitous performance at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

Ghana bowed out at group stage after failing to win any of their group games. The West Africa powerhouse drew two games and suffered a defeat against, finishing in third place in Group B, behind Cape Verde and Egypt.

The West Africa powerhouse has now failed to progress to the knockout stage of the continental showpiece having last exited at group stage during AFCON 2021 held in Cameroon.

Speaking on Asempa FM, Oduro Sarfo emphasized the Ghana FA will fix the Black Stars and make it great again after a disastrous tournament in Ivory Coast.

“We all saw what happened in Ivory Coast and lets me say this on authority that we will fix the Black Stars. It’s a promised from me to Ghanaians.” he said.

The Ghana FA relieved off Chris Hughton and the entire Black Stars technical team following the team’s poor showing at the AFCON.

Meanwhile, the FA has set up a five-member committee to search for a new coach to take over the national team.
