The Ghana Football Association (GFA) on Tuesday, May 16, launched what it is calling the ‘Ghana Football School’.

The school wing of the association has been launched to help in capacity building and skill training.

The launch took place at the Ghana FA headquarters in the Greater Accra Region.

In a communique from the GFA after the launch, it explained that the Ghana Football School “is aimed at building the capacity of individuals involved in the various facets of the Ghana Football ecosystem.”

The GFA communique added, “The Ghana Football Association is rolling out this initiative in collaboration with top level institutions, including the University Of Ghana (UG), the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), University of Professional Studies Accra (UPSA), the Sunyani Technical University and the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS).

The Ghana Football School is expected to complement efforts being made by the current administration to advance the professional development, competence, and training of personnel within the football space.

Meanwhile, the Ghana FA says it will in the coming days come out with the modalities and procedures for training in the various institutions.
