Karela United's head coach, Abukari Damba, has expressed his satisfaction with his team's display despite their defeat to Nsoatreman in the MTN FA Cup quarterfinal on Saturday afternoon.
Nsoatreman clinched a 1-0 victory in extra time during the quarterfinals, securing a spot in the semifinals courtesy of a late goal by Eric Osei Bonsu.
After the game, Abukari Damba, in an interview, shared his disappointment with the outcome but remained optimistic about his team's resilience, highlighting their potential to bounce back and secure wins in the league.
He commended both teams for their passionate and character-filled performance, considering it a fair representation of the game.
“Both teams played very well. They showed passion, they showed character from both teams and I think it was a fair reflection of the game. The performance of my players gives me a lot of joy. Even though we conceded a goal, I still give them thumbs up.”
Karela United will take on Heart of Lions on Sunday in match week 24 of the Ghana Premier League.
