The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has issued a communique providing details on its upcoming 29th Ordinary.
In a post on its website on Saturday, July 8, it said this year’s Congress will be held on July 10.
“The Capital City of the Ashanti Region, Kumasi, will host the 29th Ordinary session of the Ghana Football Association Congress on Monday, July 10, 2023.
“At its meeting, the Executive Council of the GFA agreed to hold the next Congress at the Great Hall of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology in Kumasi.
“The Ashanti Region and Kumasi specifically has shown enormous support to the Black Stars and other national teams over the years.
“The decision to hold this year’s Congress there is to show the Association’s appreciation to the football-loving fans in Asanteman and to encourage others to accept the GFA’s rallying call for fans to “BringBackTheLove” for the beautiful game,” parts of the communique on the Ghana FA website said.
It continued, “The Ashanti Region is also known for its football prowess even before the commencement of football leagues in Ghana, as well as the exploits of Asante Kotoko SC both in Ghana and on the African continent.”
All football stakeholders are to take note that the 29th Ordinary will commence at 9 am.
As already confirmed, the Minister for Youth and Sports, Hon. Mustapha Ussif will deliver a keynote address at this year’s Congress as the Special Guest of Honour.
