Ghana defender Mohammed Salisu featured for Southampton in their 2-2 draw with Leeds United on match week two of the Premier League on Saturday.

Salisu put up a decent display as the Saints salvaged a point in an entertaining game at St Mary's Stadium.

Rodrigo had handed Leeds the advantage with two goals in 15 second-half minutes as the visitors looked on course to maintain their winning start to the season.

The Spain forward met Jack Harrison's testing cross with a glancing finish to open the scoring, before heading in Pascal Struijk's goal-bound effort for his second.

Joe Aribo, introduced from the bench, reduced arrears for the hosts with 20 minutes remaining, before Kyle Walker-Peters earned a share of the spoils by latching onto Sekou Mara's defence-splitting pass in the 81st minute.

The result sees Southampton climb into 15th place.

Salisu has featured in all Saints' games so far this season.
