Ghana international Joseph Aidoo has been ruled out of the international friendly against the United States after picking up an injury in the game against Mexico.
Aidoo was subbed off after just 27 minutes in the game between Mexico and the Black Stars on Sunday.
The Celta Vigo centre-back was handed a starting role in the international friendly clash game at the Bank of America Stadium – Charlotte but had to be replaced by Clermont Foot player Alidu Seidu due to the injury setback.
Aidoo is expected to fly back to Spain for further treatment.
Meanwhile, Medeama defender Fatawu Hamidu has joined the Black Stars team ahead of the USA game. He missed the Mexico game due to his involvement in the Capital City Cup game between Medeama and DC United.
Ghana suffered a 2-0 defeat to the El Tri of Mexico and will be hoping to bounce back to victory against USA.
The first half of the game ended in goalless draw, as both teams failed to hit the back of the net in the encounter.
Ghana are preparing for the upcoming 2026 World Cup qualifiers and 2023 Africa Cup of Nations to be staged in Ivory Coast.
