Ghana international, Daniel Amartey has explained why he gave out a brand-new car early this year.
In February 2023, the former Leicester City man bought a brand new car and gifted it to a Ghanaian coach who had helped him in the past.
His kind gesture touched hearts on social media as many people shared the video of the happy coach test-driving the car.
Asked about the gesture in an interview after signing for Besiktas, Daniel Amartey noted that he bought the car for the coach because of the kindness he showed to him when he was starting his career.
"Yes, this news is true. He was my football coach in Ghana when I was 12. He was a good person because it is very difficult for someone to help you in Africa. He helped me a lot when I was young, he did everything he could. That's why I gave him a car,” Daniel Amartey explained when asked if it was true he bought a car for a Ghanaian coach.
Meanwhile, the Black Stars defender has stressed that he is ready to begin his stint with his new club in Turkey.
He has indicated that he is willing to play any position on the pitch to help Besiktas to win games and fight for trophies.
