The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced the prize money for the upcoming 2022/23 Beach Soccer League, which was launched at the GFA Secretariat in Accra on Tuesday.
The winner of the league will receive GHc15,000, while the runner-up will take home GHc7,000 in prize money.
Fourteen Beach Soccer Clubs have registered to compete in the league, which is set to kick off on the weekend of May 27-28, 2023.
The GFA has also announced that it will pay an amount of GHc10,000 to each of the participating clubs before the start of the season.
At the launch, GFA President Kurt Edwin Simeon Okraku expressed his delight at the launch of the league, saying, "the committee and competitions department of the FA have been working very, very well behind the scenes to ensure that we all witness this particular day."
Vice Chairman of the Beach Soccer Committee, Yaw Gyamfi Kusi Awere, expressed his gratitude to the GFA for their support.
