Ghana coach Chris Hughton acknowledges the Black Stars are in a difficult period following an unimpressive result in recent times.
The West African powerhouse exhibited poor performance during the October international break, losing all two games and conceding 6 goals in the process.

At the post-match conference, the former Premier League trainer expressed the Black Stars are going through a difficult whiles he aims to resolve the teams unimpressive show in recent times.
“We are all going through a difficult period with regards to the performances that can see us scoring goals to win games, that has been difficult”
“There are some aspects of the game that has been okay. We have qualified for AFCON and we did enough to win the group not just to qualify and that’s the balance”
“The balances are from there, we need to develop more because we are going to a tough AFCON tournament in January and we need to develop. I will continue to work hard as I can to pick the right squad, pick the right tactics to win the games we need to win to do well” he said.
USA broke the deadlock after just 10 minutes into the game through Dortmund midfielder Giovanni Reyna before captain Christian Pulisic doubled the advantage for the host from the spot nine minutes later.
The Yanks continued their demolishing exercise as Monaco attacker Folarin Balogun hit the back of the net to extend USA’s lead in the 22nd minute.
Just before half-time, Reyna added the United States' fourth from an indirect freekick in the box to seal victory for the host.
The Black Stars begin their 2026 World Cup qualifiers next month with the opening game against Madagascar.
