The head coach of the Ghana national team, Coach Chris Hughton has rallied his players to be at their best for the game against the Central African Republic.

The Black Stars will face off with their Group E counterpart this week in a final game in the qualifiers for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

Speaking to Metro Sports in an interview on Tuesday, Coach Chris Hughton said it will be difficult to overcome the Central African Republic.

According to him, the Black Stars must be at their best to secure a win against the opponent.

“We don’t know what to expect apart from a hard game. It’s going to be a tough game. This is a big competition with some good teams in it but we would have to make sure we compete well enough to win the game,” Coach Chris Hughton said.

Ghana will host the Central African Republic on Thursday, September 7. The game is scheduled to be played at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium and will kick off at 4 p.m.
