Frankfurt's head coach, Dino Toppmöller, has recently shared a promising update on the recovery process of star player Ansgar Knauff.
In a press conference held earlier today, Toppmöller revealed the latest developments regarding Knauff's rehabilitation from his injury, leaving fans with a glimmer of hope for the player's return to the pitch.
"We want to lead Ansgar very slowly, without physical contact and duels. Without pressure. We are glad that he is so fit again so quickly. Maybe, if things go well, he can carefully start training again next week,” said the trainer on the current status of the winger.
Eintracht Frankfurt recently completed the permanent signing of the Germany-born winger of Ghanaian descent.
The forward joined Frankfurt on loan from Borussia Dortmund in the January transfer window of 2022.
Having impressed during his loan stint, Eintracht Frankfurt has opted to secure his services on a permanent deal.
In the first six months of his loan deal, Ansgar Knauff impressed and helped Frankfurt to win the 2021/22 Uefa Europa League.
He has become a key player for Eintracht Frankfurt and will now spend the next five years of his career at the club.
