Former Rapid Coach Mihai Iosif has revealed he proposed the signing of Ghanaian midfielder Baba Alhassan to the club.
The 22-year-old has been in a blistering form this season for FC Hermannstadt, scoring four goals in four matches in the Romanian top-flight league.
The 47-year-old has disclosed that he proposed to the current Rapid Coach Adrian Mutu to sign Baba Alhassan from the League Two but there was no attempt to secure his services.
"One player I recommended to someone at Rapid - I was actually talking to someone there about him is Baba Alhassan. I told someone from Rapid that I like him since League 2
If I'm not mistaken, he's a player born in 2000 that I liked. I spoke to someone from Rapid that I really like him. But there was no attempt to bring him, it was just a discussion", he said.
