Former Communication Director of the Ghana Football Association, Ibrahim Saanie Daara has backed GFA President Kurt Okraku for another term in office.

Kurt Okraku's first term as President of the federation comes to an end in October, with the FA set for elections.

Having been in office in the last four years, the CAF senior media officer, who is impressed with the performance of Kurt Okraku has advocated for another term for the former Dreams FC CEO.

Speaking to Kessben FM monitored by Footballghana.com, Sannie Daara said, "I still stand by my 98% rating for GFA President Kurt Okraku. He's done marvelous work to deserve another term. I entreat all Ghanaians to support him to climb to the highest level of international football politics”

“During Kwesi Nyantakyi’s era as the FA boss, we all saw how Ghana benefited. Now, Kurt is the WAFU B President, leading countries like, Nigeria, Ivory Coast, Togo, Benin, Burkina Faso and others. If Kurt has risen to that level, it will be very prudent for Ghanaians to unite and support him so we can get to the level, we were in the past”

“After Anas episode, Ghana has struggled with officiating because we’ve been painted of influencing referees but imagine if we get some of our leaders holding key positions in world football, I think our game will rise”

“Kurt has started well; under two-years he’s made the President of WAFU so we must support him in order to get all the necessary international support so he can also support the system of Ghana football. we must support him to rise so we can return to where we belong in football, remember, Ghana had over 20 people serving on various committees at both CAF and FIFA previously, and in other to attain such height, we all have to rally behind Kurt Okraku”

“Apart from the good job Kurt is doing, for geo-political issues, it will be very important for us give him another term as Ghana FA President. We have to stabilize the football industry, and for the interest of Ghana football alone, Kurt has to go for another term”

However, Berekum Chelsea's Bernard Amofa Jantuah has reportedly made himself available to compete for the position.

Former vice president of the Association George Afriyie is also expected to announce his candidature in the coming weeks.

Ashford Tetteh Oku and former Chairman of the Western Region Football Association, Kojo Yankah are all expected to contest for the position.
