Ghanaian defender Patrick Kpozo has opened up about his disappointment when a proposed move to La Liga side Granada fell through in the 2017/2018 football season.
Kpozo, who currently plays for Black Stars, revealed that Granada had expressed interest in signing him after his breakthrough in the Swedish Premier League for AIK Fotboll.
However, a disagreement between his agent and club AIK scuppered the deal, leaving Kpozo feeling drained.
"It really affected me and my performance because Granada was a big club and I wanted to go," Kpozo told GhanaWeb in an interview during the March international break.
Kpozo explained that he had struggled in his first season but had a breakthrough the following year. He recently earned his debut call-up for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers, demonstrating his continued commitment to his football career.
This season, he has played 9 times for FC Sheriff in the league and 11 in Europe.
