Former Chairman of the Western Regional Football Association, Kojo Yankah, is set to join the race for the presidency of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), per a report by Onua Sports.
The experienced football administrator is said to be of the conviction that he is well-prepared to lead Ghana football and will formally declare his candidacy early next month. The GFA election is expected to take place in October later this year.
During his time as a member of the Black Stars management committee and in various roles within the GFA under the presidency of Kwesi Nyantakyi, Yankah gained extensive experience in football administration, establishing himself as a notable figure in the sport.
Known for his outspoken nature, Yankah served as the chairman of the Western Region Football Association for eight years, succeeding the late Lee Yankey.
In addition, he held a position as an Executive Council member of the GFA.
Yankah's intended announcement will make him the second candidate to enter the race for the GFA presidency, joining the incumbent Kurt Okraku, who is seeking re-election.
