Former Ghana goalkeeper George Owu has been appointed goalkeeper’s trainer of Ghana Premier League newcomers Kotoku Royals.

The Oda-based club are augmenting their technical team for the upcoming campaign in the bid to make impact in their maiden Ghana Premier League campaign.

The former Asante Kotoko and Ashantigold shot stopper inclusion in the technical team is expected to help the club in the 2022/23 season.

A statement from the club reads, “Welcome former black stars goalkeeper to Kotoku Royals FC as our new goalkeeper coach. George Owu played at the highest attainable level in Ghana representing Asante Kotoku and Ashanti Goldfields. George’s wealth of experience will impact significantly on our goalkeepers.”

George Owu was part of the Black Stars squad for the 2006 FIFA World Cup in Germany.
