Ghanaian defender Jeremie Frimpong was in fine form when Bayer Leverkusen defeated FC Koln in the German Bundesliga.

The Dutch-born Ghanaian started and lasted 81 minutes, helping Leverkusen to secure an emphatic 3-0 win over their opponent in the week seven of the top-flight.

Frimpong played a huge role by scoring, contributing to Leverkusen’s resounding victory at the BayArena on Sunday.

Leverkusen broke the deadlock through Jonas Hofmann after 22 minutes before the Ghanaian defender doubled the advantage as they went to recess with a two goal lead.

Nigerian international Victor Okoh Boniface sealed victory for the host after hitting the back of the net in the 67th minute.

The Dutch defender of Ghanaian descent is enjoying an amazing season with the Bundesliga club, scoring two goals and providing four assists in seven Bundesliga games.

The 22-year-old recently extended his stay with Leverkusen until 2028.
