Dreams FC General Manager Ameenu Shadow has hailed the acquisition of striker Joseph Esso, saying he will be a great addition to the team.
Esso, who was transferred to the Algerian top-flight side MC Alger in March 2021 from Dreams FC is back for a second spell with the club.
The former Hearts of Oak star returns to Ghana after parting ways with the Algerian outfit in August 2023.
However, the highly-rated striker has made a sensational return to Dreams FC and is expected to inspire the Still Believe lads in the league and Confederations Cup at large.
“Joseph made a great impact on the team during his time here,” Dreams FC General Manager Ameenu Shardow said of Esso’s return.
“He is a player we know very well and we believe strongly he’ll be another great addition to the squad in achieving our targets.”
Esso scored 11 goals on his first stint with Dreams FC in the 2020/2021 season.
The former Hearts of Oak star made an immediate impact after joining MC Alger, scoring 7 goals and providing 3 assists in 18 games in the second half of the 2020-21 campaign.
In the second season, Esso managed to score three times and delivered one assist in 33 matches in the Algerian Ligue 1.
But Esso things did not go as expected in subsequent seasons and had to part ways with the Algerian club last year.
