Dreams FC head coach, Karim Zito, has expressed satisfaction with the outcome of his team's recent Ghana Premier League game against Medeama SC, using it as a strategic preparation for their upcoming two-legged CAF Confederation Cup tie against Stade Malien.
In a game that ended in a goalless draw at the Akoon Park in Tarkwa, Zito was observed meticulously studying his team's performance against the defending league champions.
The match served as a crucial warm-up ahead of the much-anticipated encounter with the Malian side.
With 28 points, Dreams FC find themselves in 14th position on the Ghana Premier League table after 22 games with a game in hand.
The first leg of the CAF Confederation Cup match is scheduled to take place on Sunday, March 31 at 17:00 GMT in Mali. The second leg will follow a week later, on April 7, in Ghana.
Zito saw the Medeama game as an opportunity to fine-tune his team's strategy and identify areas of improvement before facing the Malian opposition.
“I also said that I am going to use this game to prepare for Stade Malien. Three of my players are with the Under 20 National Team so even with all this, I still got them playing to get what I wanted (a draw or a win)," he said.
"Like I said, I’m using this game to prepare for Stade Malien so I’m okay, I’m okay with one point,” he added.
