Coach Karim Zito of Dreams FC has called on the government to heavily invest in sports, particularly football, to facilitate the growth and development of young talents in Ghana.

Speaking ahead of his team's CAF Confederations Cup clash against Stade Malien, the experienced coach emphasized that government support is crucial to elevate the sport and prevent local talents from seeking greener pastures abroad.

Zito highlighted the success of Aziz, a player he nurtured, who is now attracting offers from international clubs. He also introduced Abdullah, another promising talent he is currently grooming. The coach expressed his belief that with increased government investment, more young players could be developed locally, and the exodus of talents could be minimized.

The Dreams FC coach suggested that the government could collaborate with corporations like Coca-Cola to subsidize taxes in exchange for investing in sports. This partnership, he explained, would lead to improved salaries for players, making it more attractive for them to stay and play in Ghana.

"If we try and build the children then the rich people will come and build them like my Aziz the offer coming if it wasn't for the Africa we are like we have forgotten about Aziz," he told Peace FM as monitored by Footballghana.com

"I have started we have two now one played a few days ago there is one called Abdullah I have started working on him when we open I am bring him back he plays the same position. I will train him and he will also go now why go, go I felt that if the government doesn't come in to support sports not about national team then before we will be able to get to the top it will take a long time.

"We have a Coca Cola company here then you talk to the government that i will subsidise your tax so that you invest the rest into the game when the salary is a little bit good because 1000 USD, 2000 USD shouldn't take a player from Ghana so if I collect 1000 or 2000 and am comfortable in my house I will stay,"
