Speaking to Ernest Brew Smith on Youtube Dr. Prince Pambo said
"It is common in Blacks if you go to even the NBA they have a lot of it. When they are playing basketball then someone will collapse and die. Its about black ethnicity not that you are a black American but once you have black blood it is the genetic predisposition it is very common in our setting.
"And it is also common in Western Africa and also the Jamaica side. So what happen is the heart has a job it does it beats then blood goes and comes. The heart has four chambers two are down and two are up so when the down part presses the blood should go up so that some of the blood will go to certain parts of your body, lungs to pick air then returns to the heart then the heart pumps again then the blood it picked oxygen sends the blood to all parts of the body so it goes and when it gets finish then it returns,"
"So that beating if the down part presses the up part should open the up part presses then the down part opens then it becomes synchronized. Something can happen then the synchrony is no more the up part will press the the down part will also press then the blood cant go anywhere again and becomes standstill,"
"It happens in split seconds so when it happens the person can collapse so within that seconds the person doesn't get the appropriate help which is just the player coming first or the medics coming first then the person is placed on his back and you use your hand to presses his chest in a chest compression if you get it correct then the person revives then the heart starts to beat correctly,"
