An Accra court has brought to an end years of legal battle between Black Stars legend Asamoah Gyan and his ex-wife, Gifty.
On Tuesday, October 31, an Accra court ruled that Asamoah Gyan is the father of his wife’s three children.
As part of the settlement, Ghana’s all-time leading goal scorer for the Black Stars must pay GH¢25,000 monthly for the upkeep of his children.
This excludes specific expenses such as school fees, medical and dental care, flight tickets, and others.
The divorced wife is also receiving Asamoah Gyan's UK mansion, a four-bedroom house at Spintex in Accra, a BMW, an Infiniti, and ownership of land meant for a fuel station in Prampram.
Reacting to the ruling, Asamoah Gyan left a cryptic message under a post reporting the decision of the court.
“If I have 10pts and I keep quiet cos I’m matured, and you have 2 pts and you going find public sympathy, then it’s cool. You are very funny. This is deep so think about it,” Gyan said.
