The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced that the 29th Ordinary Congress session will be held in Kumasi on Monday, July 10.
In a communique on its website, the football association explained that the decision to host Congress in Kumasi is to say thank you to football-loving fans in Asanteman for their support.
“The Capital City of the Ashanti Region, Kumasi, will host the 29th Ordinary session of the Ghana Football Association Congress on Monday, July 10, 2023.
“At its meeting, the Executive Council of the GFA agreed to hold the next Congress at the Great Hall of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology in Kumasi.
“The Ashanti Region and Kumasi specifically has shown enormous support to the Black Stars and other national teams over the years.
“The decision to hold this year’s Congress there is to show the Association’s appreciation to the football loving fans in Asanteman and to encourage others to accept the GFA’s rallying call for fans to “BringBackTheLove” for the beautiful game,” parts of the communique from the Ghana FA has said.
The Minister of Youth & Sports Hon. Mustapha Ussif and other distinguished personalities in the Ashanti Region are scheduled to grace this year’s Congress.
All stakeholders are to take note that Congress will commence at 09:00 am.
