Chris Hughton welcomes Black Stars players to camp ahead of Madagascar game

The head coach of the Black Stars, Chris Hughton, and his assistants have opened camp for the Ghana national team ahead of the game against Madagascar in the qualifiers for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

The game which is one of two matches to be played in the November international break will be played on Friday, November 17.

On Monday, Coach Chris Hughton welcomed Black Stars players to the team’s base at the Alisa Hotel.

Some of the players who reported to camp as part of the early arrivals include Joseph Paintsil, Denis Odoi, Mohammed Iddrisu Baba, as well as Abdul Fatawu Hamid.

From pictures shared by the Ghana FA, Coach Chris Hughton is seen happily welcoming the players to camp.

Sources have confirmed that since the arrival of the four players in the late afternoon, more players have this evening reported to the camp of the Black Stars.

The Black Stars are scheduled to hold a first training session at the Accra Sports Stadium tomorrow before moving camp to Kumasi later in the day.

The game between Ghana and Madagascar will be played at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Friday.
