Executive Council member of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Nana Oduro Sarfo has taken a swipe at Chris Hughton, describing him as a bad coach.
Oduro Sarfo's statement comes following Black Stars' elimination from the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Ivory Coast.
Hughton, who was appointed in March 2023 led the team to the 34th edition of the AFCON.
However, the Black Stars suffered a group phase exit for the second consecutive time after finishing 3rd in Group B with just two out of a possible nine points.
Following the team's exit, Hughton, who signed a 21-month deal was shown the exit by the Ghana Football Association (GFA).
Speaking on Asempa FM as monitored by Footballghana.com, the former Berekum Chelsea Chief Executive Officer (CEO) slammed the former Newcastle United and Brighton manager for his bad tactics.
According to him, the 64-year-old is a bad coach and was not good enough to coach the Black Stars.
"I don't want to describe Chris Hughton as a bad coach but he was not good enough to coach the Black Stars," he said.
"His tactics were not good enough. He is a bad coach," he added.
Meanwhile, the leadership of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) has instituted a five-member committee to recommend a coach to the Executive Council.
