Former Wa All Stars Football Club CEO, Samuel Oduro-Nyarko, has insisted Black Stars coach, Chris Hughton needs space to work, calling on detractors to back off.
The senior national team are currently preparing for their first two games of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Madagascar and Comoros in Group I.
Hughton's future was in doubt after the Black Stars suffered back-to-back defeats in the October international friendly games against Mexico and USA despite going five unbeaten games.
However, veteran football administrator Oduro-Nyarko says Hughton needs time to get the team performing well.
“I still believe that once he is grooming the team, once he wants to build a winsome side, let’s give him time, let’s give him space because he’s now trying to test the players," he told Citi Sports
“All in all, the team will gel. I believe that with time Black Stars will gel," he added.
The Black Stars will host Madagascar at the Baba Yara Stadium on Friday, November 17 before travelling to face Comoros on Tuesday, November 21.
The players invited for the games have arrived in camp and are expected to hold their first training session at the Accra Sports Stadium later today before leaving for Kumasi on Wednesday.
